9 Essential Skills for the Love and Logic Classroom®
Classroom discipline techniques traditionally have been an "on the job" learning experience. Being able to remain calm when confronted with a student behavior is not always easy and teachers can not always think of what to do on the spot. That's where Love and Logic comes in. A systematic approach has been used to set up rules and then match the consequences that went with each rule. Unfortunately, students are usually quite skilled at finding the loop holes so that they can sing out "NOT FAIR". With the "Principals" approach, which is developed within the Love and Logic philosophy, guidelines are centered around basic beliefs about kids which allows the consequences to fit the behavior.
